TB Global Technologies Ltd. was established in 1947 as Tokyo Boeki Ltd. after WWII as a trading company. In 1955 import of loading arms from the USA has begun. In 1959, under the license of Chiksan USA, we began manufacturing loading arms in Japan by Niigata Engineering. The first Japanese LNG unloading arms were installed in Tokyo Gas Negishi plant in 1968. Major components such as emergency release system and hydraulic coupler have been developed throughout the 1980s till now. In 2019 world’s first loading arm for liquid hydrogen was developed and successfully loaded/unloaded the world’s first liquid hydrogen carrier “Suiso Frontier” in Kobe, Japan as HySTRA project. All 34 LNG importing terminals in Japan are using our TB-NIIGATA LNG loading arms. Leading LNG exporters such as Qatargas, and Exxon Mobil are our important customers along with importers in the Asia Pacific region.
