Dr. Hongjun Fan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (MRINA). He obtained his Ph.D. from the Australian Maritime College (AMC) of the University of Tasmania in 2022.

He is the compliance director of C-LNG Solutions. He is also a postdoctoral research fellow at AMC. He was a researcher/ research director at Wuhan Rules and Research Institute of the China Classification Society (CCS) from 2008 to 2019.
