John Kuehn

John Kuehn is President, Supply & Trading and is based in Houston, Texas. He is responsible for Chevron’s global trading activities for crude oil, feedstocks, refined products, natural gas, liquified natural gas (LNG), gas liquids, and carbon to support the company’s crude and gas production operations and refining and marketing network. Prior to this role, John served as Vice President/Director, Gas Supply & Trading and was responsible for Chevron’s global marketing and trading activities for natural gas, LNG, and liquified petroleum gas/natural gas liquids (LPG/NGL) businesses. John joined Chevron in 1991 as a project engineer, working in the Gulf of Mexico for Chevron Pipe Line Company. He also served in Upstream on the Deepwater business unit’s Planning and Strategy team and on an assignment as one of Upstream’s first Technology Brokers. Prior to his current role, John held other notable leadership roles, including Vice President/Director, Crude Supply & Trading; Vice President, Strategy, Planning & Technology for Downstream & Chemicals; and General Manager, Value Chain Optimization Asia-Pacific. John has served on the Board of Directors for GS Caltex Corporation and for ChevronPhillips Chemical Company. John graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
