Thomas is a Senior Consultant at Merlin Advisors, part of Poten’s Natural Gas and LNG Consulting group. He has worked on and led a wide range of projects in the LNG industry, performing technical due diligence assignments for both potential investors and lenders, including on some of the largest LNG project financings. His experience is global and covers projects in the US, Canada, Mozambique, and Russia. Thomas has worked on LNG projects at every stage of development, from conceptual activities and feasibility studies, through front-end engineering design, construction and execution, and operations and maintenance. He has undertaken in-depth evaluations of projects applying new technologies, novel concepts, extensive modularization, and floating elements, and performed detailed risk assessments for financiers, including opining on project schedules, execution strategies, EPC contracts, and capital costs. Thomas holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Chemical & Nuclear Engineering from Imperial College London, is an Associate Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a member of the Gas Processors Association Europe.
