PP.18 New Approaches to Modular Construction

Thursday 13 July 2023
Paper Presentation | Spring Sessions | West Level 1, Rooms 118-120
Upstream/Midstream Gas Production, Processing, Liquefaction , Clear Filters - See Full Programme

A modular construction approach can often offer LNG developers an opportunity to lower project cost; to mitigate challenging logistics and local labour bottlenecks.

EPC contractors, licensors and major equipment suppliers constantly try to expand the feasibility envelope with ingenious approaches when it comes to modularisation. This session contains five current case studies ranging from modularisation of major equipment to complete systems.

Presented topics include:

  • Development of fully modularized CWHEs for mid-scale and baseload LNG applications
  • Gravity Base Structures for LNG trains
  • Application of the integrated modules and their potential cos and schedule benefits
  • Modular Membrane Tanks - Feasibility analysis of a new modular, flat-bottom LNG storage tank with membrane technology
