Although many LNG assets will remain in operation for decades to come, it is anticipated that LNG of mineral origin will eventually decline or even disappear. This session will address the possibility of repurposing LNG infrastructure for use with hydrogen and other new energies.

  • New technologies for natural gas to hydrogen conversion through reforming or pyrolysis
  • The substitution of renewable methane - biomethane or SNG from methanation
  • LNG terminals as the ideal location for a hydrogen production unit that can be associated with CO2 export if required
