The LNG industry uniquely ties up huge amounts of capital for many decades in a critical supply chain that spans the globe and links buyers and sellers. It has long been a laboratory for commercial innovation. The contracts must anticipate geopolitical and other risks, in a way that ensures sharing of risks and taking into account the ability of all parties to evaluate and mitigate them.

This session will analyse on a number of commercial trends from project set up – budgeting and control of CAPEX during project set up – through trading flexibility in operations and mechanisms that ensure best environmental practices are encouraged.
