PP.17 Downstream Applications of LNG as a Fuel and Other Innovations
This session presents a growing number of downstream end-use applications for LNG, both renewable and fossil, which have the potential to advance societal development whilst taking care of the environment, including the reduction of significant SOx, NOx, particulate matter, GHG, and other emissions from the global transportation sector. Speakers will present examples of increased use of lower-carbon fuels and low GWP working fluids in the maritime, rail and power generation industries, as well as higher use of small gas reserves. Regulatory, design and operational aspects which support the continued safe and reliable performance of LNG as fuel will be discussed.
